Back to School: A Class Library for Learning at your Own Pace!

I am pleased to announce that my most popular classes are now available for you to view and learn at your own pace. I find that some voice actors are more tech savvy than others, and some rely on replays of classes to get a better understanding of the material presented. So here's the deal:

The most recent versions of these classes are currently available to stream at the prices below. You will receive the playback link, password, and any relevant class materials. But there's more to this. You will be a part of a new and growing private community on my website where you can share ideas, ask questions and read additional material that I will post from time to time. Each class has its own private group that you will receive an invitation to. I will also host sporadic free follow-up Zooms for those taking these classes so that you have a chance to ask questions (specifically related to the class material). Those dates will be posted in the groups as they happen. But it gets better!

All of these videos are currently being newly produced from the ground up specifically for library use. When they are completed, you will immediately be given access to them because you have paid now. If you wait for the new classes, they will cost quite a bit more- so if you're interested, it makes sense to grab what's currently available.

Available now:

  • The Home Studio Primer: This is a comprehensive guide for voice actors to get a complete understanding of what they need for set up a competitive home studio. We cover acoustic considerations to make sure you're setting up your best booth. Finding the right microphone for your budget and your space. Interfaces and other key gear. Connectivity (Source Connect, Zoom and more). DAW considerations- what's the best software for you? And even a bit about audio processing. The class cost is currently $49 (cost increasing on October 1 2024).

  • Critical Connectivity: Source Connect and Beyond: This class gets into what Source Connect is and why you need it. Making sure you have a solid internet connection. How to use Source Connect by itself AND within the DAWs that support it. Other technical considerations that affect how you connect with studios. Web based connections like Source Nexus Free, IPTDL, Cleanfeed, etc. And we even cover Zoom and other ways to interact with clients. The cost of this class is currently $79 (cost increasing on October 1 2024).

  • RX Elements for Voice Actors: If you're doing the kind of work where you're expected to deliver finished audio, this will get you there. We cover the core components included in RX Elements- no matter which version you own. You will walk away with a thorough understanding of how and when to use Voice De-Noise, De-Click (for mouth noise), De-Reverb (RX 10 and up only), De-Clip, De-Hum and a little bit about the RX Editor (not included after RX9). The cost of this class is currently $79 (cost increasing on October 1 2024).

  • Pro Tools Intro- Perfect for Voice Actors: This class gets you setup and ready to work with the FREE version of Pro Tools, and puts you on par with every major professional recording studio. Forget spending monthly fees on DAWs that are "OK". Even if you're already spending money on Pro Tools, you'll want to skip it after seeing this class! People are often intimidated by Pro Tools, but in this class we work together to build a template for your VO work that you can save and use for every audition and booking- and work like a PRO! You can read more about it here. The cost of this class is currently $79 (cost increasing on October 1 2024).
