Kenny Loggins on Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast!

It's finally available! The second to last episode of the podcast that you'll hear that I got to mix. I can't even tell you how much I enjoyed applying my album mixing skills to a podcast episode! Kenny brought along his beautiful acoustic guitar, as did his touring guitarist/ background singer Rick Cowling. They performed a number of songs together at Stitcher Studios, where we had been recording the show. All I had to work with were a pair of SM7B mics and their acoustics going through direct boxes. Their performances were so solid that they just shimmered. The video on this page is of the live, unmixed take of "House on Pooh Corner", which for me was a showstopper.

I really hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed mixing. LISTEN HERE!

As the show has transitioned to a combination of Sirius XM and Starburns Audio, you've actually still been listening to episodes I've recorded and mixed. The upcoming Marilu Henner episode is the last of that batch. This makes the Kenny Loggins episode a bit of a swan song for me- and I couldn't be more proud!

Enjoy it!

Great show Frank! Well done. I can't think of any other guest that has come more prepared with 2 guitars and backing vocals. Best sounding podcast ever!

I’ll make sure you have a front row seat! And I’ll still be participating in the fan group - since I’m still a fan!

Frank, I can see that the GGACP has meant a lot to you, and I'm so glad you had the opportunity. It's a shame that they've moved on, but that's show business, I guess.

I'm very glad to have made your acquaintance through fan pages, and this blog. I've been interested in audio production for some time. my final project in college was an hour long documentary radio program. Being in touch with someone who is a real-life, New York City audio engineer and sound designer is pretty cool.

While on the show, you were a friend to our little Gilbert Gottfried podcast fan page, participating by going out of your way to share your in-studio video of the interviews.…
