Throwback Thursday- The Late, Great Jerry Stiller

The best compliments I receive are often from actors I admire. I had an animation session yesterday, and at the end the actor said “I hope you’re on the next one! You always make the session go smooth and make me feel comfortable”.

It reminded me of something the late, great Jerry Stiller once said before a session. Sitting behind me in my old room at Nutmeg finishing his blueberry muffin and coffee (we always had that ready for him), he said out of nowhere “you know why I like working with you?” He continued “because you always make me feel you’re preparing me a nice meal and I can relax and enjoy”.

I have so many photos with the Faster/ Funnier paddle, I printed them to books and had the actors sign them.

Those who know me know I’m terrible at taking compliments. I have trophies and awards from the years of work I’ve done- but those quiet moments in sessions mean the most to me!
